Tournament Day Overview

  • 7:45 - 8:15 Doubles & Cue Doubles Registration & Package pickup
  • 8:30 - Doubles Tournament and Cue Doubles
    Doubles - 6 discs each per round X 4 round = 1 game / 6 games = A Match
    Cue Doubles - 5 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 6 games = A Match
    15 minutes of playing time and two minutes to verify scores, movement to next table and practice shots.
  • 8:45 - 4:45 - Skills Competition running throughout the day
  • 11:00 - Doubles Championship and Cue Doubles Round Robin - seated and ready to play
    Teams placing 1-6 will play in "A" Championship
    Teams placing 7-12 will play in "B" Consolation.
    Teams placing 13-18 will play in "C" Consolation.
    *Lunch available at the arena booth (Men's Club) and in the upstairs lounge (Casa Roma)*
  • 12:45 - Award Ceremony for Doubles and Cue Doubles
  • 1:30 - First Pool of Preliminary Games - seated and ready to play
    Adult Singles POOL A - 8 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 10 games = A Match
    Recreational Singles - 8 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 10 games = A Match
    Intermediate Singles - 6 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 6 games = A Match
    Top 6 Intermediate players will play a round robin to determine Top 4 Winners
    All games will be 7 minutes of playing time and two minutes to verify scores, movement to next table and practice shots.
  • 3:30 - Second Pool of Preliminary Games - seated and ready to play
    Adult Singles POOL B - 8 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 10 games = A Match
    Cue Singles - 6 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 10 games = A Match
    Junior Singles - 6 discs each per round X 4 rounds = 1 game / 6 games = A Match
    Top 6 Junior players will play a round robin to determine Top 4 Winners
  • 5:00 - Awards Ceremony for Intermediate and Junior Winners Skills Competitions Awards
  • 5:30 - Posting of Top Recreational and Cue Scores that will advance to the first round robin playoff.
    *Break for Dinner - Food available upstairs lounge (Quehl's) and at the arena booth (Men's Club)*
  • 7:00 - First Round Robin Playoff for Adult, Cues and Recreational Singles
    Groups of eight players will play a round robin amongst their group.
    Group 1 will be all the players with an odd number ranking.
    Group 2 will be all players with an even number ranking.
    Top two scores from each group will advance to the second Round Robin Playoff.
    (Note Top Four Scores will be selected from a category that only has a single group of eight advance to this playoff)
    Seven minutes of playing time and two minutes to verify scores, movement to next table and practice shots.
  • 8:15 - Second Round Robin Playoff for Adult, Cues and Recreational Singles
    The four players advancing from the first Round Robin Playoff will play a round robin in order to establish ranking for the championship match. No time limitations will be on these games.
  • 9:00 - Championship for Adult, Cues & Recreational Singles
    #1 vs #2 for the championship and second place and #3 vs #4 for third place and honourable mention.
    A championship match will play best two out of three games in order to establish a winner.
    If the scores are tied after 4 rounds, a 5th round will be played to determine a game winner.
    (no game can be recorded as a tie when playing for the championship)
